Winners

Losers

Sal DiMasi and Therese Murray

It may seem counterintuitive, but leadership does not always get what it wants. But these two were in full control of this session, moving and shaking it to their liking.

Sal Dimasi and Tom Petrolati

The Herald found that they got $42K in two days of donations from the opthamologist lobby before putting a hold on law to keep optometrists from moving in on their biz.

David Wade

The longtime Kerry staffer landed a job with Barack Obama's as of yet unnamed VP, and gave us one last classic smackdown with his Monster.Com line.

college students

The Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority will not be able to provide student loans this fall for the first time in its 26-year history.

Kurt Hayes

He pulled one over on Jen Benson on not scheduling -- but actually scheduling -- a debate with her.

Ed O'Reilly

Kerry's ducking debates with him, but the answer isn't taking cheap shots.

Deval Patrick

He gets to pick his second SJC justice.

Deval Patrick

Half of his budget vetoes were overridden.

Mass. Turnpike Authority

It gets to refinance using the state's credit rating, instead of its own lousy one.

What about "the Environment"

What about "the Environment" and "future generations"?

Kurt Hayes is NOT a winner.....

KURT HAYES???? So your idea of a WINNER is someone who is openly deceptive (using your own caption) when vying for public office, and whose actions hurt the very people that he is supposedly trying to defend, the voters. Oh brother, what is your criteria for a loser then?

Hayes is TOTALLY a winner!!

You, 37th Middlesex District Voter, are the LOSER! You fit the criteria perfectly!!

Well, lmhc, I am completely

Well, lmhc, I am completely captivated by your solid, convincing argument. The depth of your understanding of this complex issue is outdone only by your subtle eloquence. I must remember not to tangle with you and your grade-school logic in the future.

37th Middlesex District Voter

Jamie, that couldn't be you, could it? You must surely be reeling by how your pick to replace you is simply not happening...

Wrong......again.

You are incorrect again...but that shouldn't surprise anyone at this point. And you will be wrong on November 4th, too.
