Delahunt reports $1.4M in cash on hand but loses money for the quarter

Tenth district U.S. Rep. Bill Delahunt (D-Quincy) reported having less in his campaign war chest than when the second fundraising quarter began, according to the Federal Election Commission.

Like fellow Rep. James McGovern (D-Worcester), Delahunt gave large sums of money to other Democratic candidates for Congress while raising a miniscule $1,908 for the quarter and just $83,108 so far this cycle.

Nevertheless, Delahunt reported $1,456,937.91 cash on hand. He began the quarter with $1,588,046.06 in his bank account.
