Boxborough
June 23, 2008

State Representative candidate Kurt Hayes of Boxborough is challenging Jen Benson to a series of “Town Hall” style forums over the summer. The series would include one forum in each of the six towns of the 37th Middlesex district. The events would take place during July and August.

Commenting on the challenge sent to the Benson campaign Monday morning, Hayes said, “The voters deserve a chance to hear directly from the candidates who hope to earn the honor and privilege of representing them on Beacon Hill. I know that these types of candidate debates or forums are often attended only by the party town committee members and activists; but we are striving to make this an outreach to all voters. It’s important that we welcome and focus on the undecided voters, not just the party faithful who’ve already decided who they’ll vote for.”
