BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- Kerry Healey, the former lieutenant governor and 2006 GOP gubernatorial nominee, won't rule out running for the executive office again.
Asked Monday if she would consider running again after losing to Gov. Deval Patrick (D-Milton), Healey (R-Beverly) said it wasn't her focus now, but she would still consider it.
"I'm not closing the door," Healey told PolitickerMA.com. "But, I am not making any plans right now."
Healey, former Gov. Mitt Romney's second in command, lost to Patrick by over 20 percentage points in 2006.
Currently, Healey said she is more focused on helping the Republicans win the presidential race this year.
"I have been very involved with this presidential race and I'd like to see the Republicans hold on to the presidency," she said. "So that's my first priority right now."
